SEW MANY CARDS NEW YEAR'S CHALLENGE!

By now, some parts of the world have already celebrated New Year's, so Happy New Year to you!!  Here, in GA, where I am visiting, we have about 24 hrs. before we ring in the New Year.  To celebrate the NEW YEAR, there's a NEW CHALLENGE at SEW MANY CARDS CHALLENGE and it's NEW YEAR'S!  So get those NEW YEAR's projects done and link them up at

Remember our challenges do not require a SEW MANY CARDS image, but you must use a digi.  We'd love to see creations using SMC images.  You can find them at SEW MANY CARDS SHOP.

For my challenge card, I used Frieda frog from SEW MANY CARDS.  I love the little bow in her hair.  I colored her with Copics and Atyou Spicas and cut her out with Nesties.  Then I cut my card with SU punch in a zig zag pattern so it looks like Frieda is hopping.  Button flowers are from Sassafrass Lass, sentiment is computer generated and cut with scissors.  Blingy flowers and DP are from my stash.   Base of card is SU Melon mambo textured.  Hope you like it and that you will come play along!!

KABOODLE DOODLES RIPPED OR TORN PAPER

A new challenge is happening now at KABOODLE DOODLES BLOG.  The challenge is to use torn or ripped paper - you can use leftover wrapping from Christmas or just rip or tear some paper.  Obviously the other DT girls are better at this technique than me, so make sure you check out their work at KABOODLE DOODLES BLOG and if you get a chance, please visit their blogs and leave them so love.

You have until Sunday, Jan. 2 to enter our challenge because we are going WEEKLY in 2011!!  So, please make sure to come back each Monday and check out our NEW CHALLENGE!  Remember 1 entry per person and no more than 10 total challenges - that's including ours.

Also, I am now the SPONSOR COORDINATOR for KABOODLE DOODLES BLOG, so if you would like to sponsor us, please contact me at danmoose@aol.com.

This week, our sponsor is SHELLY'S IMAGES.  I hope you will visit there and check out Shelly's awesome images.  Thanks so much Shelly for giving the Kaboodles Doodles DT images to play with!!  I colored mine with Copics, Atyou Spicas and decorated with Stickles.  Then I ripped the edges and distressed with SU poppy parade.  I made the buttons sparkly by putting white SU fine glitter on white buttons using Judi Kins glaze.  Sizzix folder used for white and grey pieces that were cut with Nesties.  Ribbon from Michaels.  DP from my stash.  Black Bazzill textured CS used for base.  Sentiment from Pink By Design clear stamps.
