IT'S A CELEBRATION - DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG HOP!!

It's a Celebration Blog Hop! 30June-1July

Hello everyone and welcome to the Digital Delights It's a Celebration Blog Hop 30June-1July 2011. This is a 2 day hop to help you get through all 30 of our talented designers, collect letters for our game and enter to win the grand prize!   Also, when you visit LESLIE's blog, please give her lots of love for organizing this FABULOUS hop!!

If you came here from ANITA H.'s BLOG then you are in the right spot! If you have just come across this post while browsing around in blog land then start at DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG so you don't miss any of the amazing projects!

The theme of our hop today is CELEBRATIONS!! We are celebrating the GRAND OPENING of DIGITAL DELIGHTS NEW SHOP!.   Wendy (aka Louby Loo) just completed the move to a new and improved store!   In honor of this, each designer will be given away the primary image used on their creation.   There are wonderful sponsors for the grand prize at the end so make sure you get to all the blogs along the hop route.

This hop has a twist - along the hop there are leTters to find in the some of the DT posTs - not all blogs have letters, but you will gather all the letters you find and then at the end of the hop on day 2 you will assemble the collected letters to create a DigiTal DelighTs related word.  (Have you figured out my letter yet?!?;))  You are then to return to DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and enter your name using the Inlinkz Tool at the bottom of the post (do not reveal the secret word yet). After the hop you will be contacted if you are selected at random--at which point you will be asked to reveal the correct word.

I have used DIGITAL DELIGHTS image "Floating Scrubbie Sue" for my project today.   I love this sweet image - makes me think of my family's upcoming trip to the ocean.  I colored my DIGITAL DELIGHTS image with Copics and cut out with Nesties.  I used DP from Wild Rose Studio and CS from SU.  Sentiment is from DIGITAL DELIGHTS circle sentiment set, I cut it out with a punch and colored with Copics.  Scalloped flower also cut using punch.  Hope you like it!!  If you are chosen as the winner from my blog, you will be getting "Floating Scrubbie Sue" image.

In order to be eligible to receive this digital stamp, please leave a comment below - I'd love for you to become a follower, but it is not required to win my hop image.   In your comment please provide an email address so that you can be contacted when I draw the prize.

Also, remember to collect all the letters to make a DIGITAL DELIGHTS related word then go and enter your name on DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG using our Inlinkz Tool.  (If you haven't figured it out yet, my letter is "T").

Your next stop along the hop will be BETTY'S BLOG.  Have fun!!!

GDT PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE - RED, WHITE and BLUE

Well, this post is way later than I was hoping it to be, but I do have an excuse and it's a good one!!  Where to begin...  I have been trying to lose weight for some time now so I signed up to do training with a friend of mine who is a personal trainer.  She has equipment in her house to workout so I go over there in the morning after the kids are at camp or I have a babysitter here.  This morning, my babysitter took my 3 older kids to camp and my youngest was at a sleepover so it was just me and the dogs, but the dogs were outside.  When I went to call them in, only one came in and then I heard wimpering and realized the other dog was stuck under my deck.  I tried to get him out for 1/2 hr. with no luck and then left because I was 15-20 mins. late.  While working out, I called my hubby, who came home for 10 mins. and then had to leave to go to a work outing - mind you he had to get up at 3:20am today to go to work, so he's not in the greatest mood - and dog still under deck.

My babysitter called her brother to come over and he dug a huge trench on the side of the deck, then we found an opposum sitting underneath the deck, but in the more open part, so I was face to face with that animal.  Another animal with a bushy tale also ran out and then my dog all of a sudden is out and then went back under and it took another 10 mins. to finally get him out and he is filfthy!!

Meanwhile, after I got both dogs in the house, I went to pick up my youngest at sleepover and somehow my dirty dog jimmied open the gate by the kitchen where the dogs stay and got mud all over my stairs and pooped all over my youngest's carpet!!  That was another 1/2 hr. of cleaning up.

Aside from all that, I am pleased to be GDT for the NEW CHALLENGE this week at
PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE.  I was fortunate to have my Summer Card chosen as winner of their challenge and get to GDT with the lovely ladies at PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE this time.  The challenge is RED, WHITE and BLUE and runs for 2 weeks, so you will have until Tues.., July 5 to enter your project at PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE.

The sponsor this week is ROBYN'S FETISH and they are offering an amazing prize, so head on over to PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE to find out what the prize will be and also to check out their DT's AMAZING inspiration.

I colored my ROBYN'S FETISH image with Copics, Atyou Spicas and added Liquid applique, cut using Nesties.  Embossing done with Cuttlebug EFs.  Lace from Hobby Lobby, flower from Prima, sentiment is from Fiskars and Cheery Lynn emboss plate used on 2nd layer.  Hope you like it:)

Hello everyone and hope your week is going well:) Today I wanted to share 2 cards with you, but one of my images got a piece of tape from a die cut on it and wound up messing my already colored image, so that one will have to wait.

Make sure to check out the JUST SOME LINES BLOG for the latest happenings at JUST SOME LINES and also our CURRENT CHALLENGE of SPOTS AND DOTS can be found there by clicking the challenge button on the upper left hand side of the JUST SOME LINES BLOG.
I  have Bella Ballerina 1 from the JUST SOME LINES Bella Ballerina collection, which can be found at JUST SOME LINES SHOP, to share with you today.   I also used the oval sentiment from Bella Ballerina which is about dancing. I used Microsoft Word and the png files of both the image and sentiment to add the image into the sentiment. I am so thrilled at how it turned out. I cut it out with Nesties and Bo Bunny DP behind it is cut with Cheery Lynn die. Other DP is Basic Grey and ribbon is Offray. Flowers are from Prima and bling is as well. My JUST SOME LINES image is colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas.

It is so much fun to use the masking technique (combining of more than 1 image/sentiment) with JUST SOME LINE'S images because the png files are perfect for easy layering. I hope you like my card, let me know what you think!!

BOOKMARK OR TAG IT for DAD WITH DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY:)

Where to begin....  Well, my kids have been home for 2 whole days on summer break and I am already looking forward to them going back to school, LOL.  Seriously, it is very nice being able to stay up later and not have to get up at 6am - I don't do mornings well!

I love to make projects with fancy folds or 3D elements and I feel like I need to do more of those!  This week, our challenge at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY gave me that opportunity:)  Our challenge this week is a BOOKMARK OR TAG FOR DAD.

In order to enter our challenge, you are not required to use an image from DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY SHOP, however, if you have one, go ahead and use it or pick up some of the newest images in the shop to create something!!  You have until Tues., June 28 to enter our challenge.  The top DT pick requires use of a DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY image, but you can win the random drawing or the 2nd or 3rd pick with any image.  Can't wait to see your creations!

I have used a Beate Johns tutorial from Splitcoast to create my corner bookmark.  I have never made one of these and I really think they look cool - this will definitely not be the last one I make!  I colored my DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY image with Copics.  I chose this image because both my boys play select soccer and my husband is a former player and currently a coach of my older son's team, so it's great for father's day.  Sentiment is from Verve Clear stamps, paper and ribbon from my stash, SU and Coredinations, button from SU, Martha Stewart punch used for border.  Hope you like it!!
