Heather Valentin's Coloring Without Boundaries Blog Debut & Showcase

Happy Sunday!  Hard to believe January is over today, where did it go???  LOL   Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend.  I have some EXCITING news for you today - today is the Blog Debut and first Showcase for Heather Valentin's Coloring Without Boundaries.  Please make sure to bookmark the blog as the url will be changing to coordinate with the new blog name.  This new blog is your chance to show us your coloring skills by linking up using the Linky tool!  Also, our fabulous coloring team gals will be showcasing multiple coloring projects each month.  There will be new techniques, tips, color combos, etc. almost every day, so make sure and come back often to Heather Valentin's Coloring Without Boundaries Blog.

Additionally, we have our Facebook group Heather Valentin's Coloring Without Boundaries where you can come hang out, post your coloring pieces, ask questions, etc.  Coloring is so much fun and relaxing and even more so when you can share it with friends and family!

Today, I have colored this gorgeous image, Lily Melancholy Moppet.  Make sure you check out Lacy Sunshine Stamps Shoppe to see all the wonderful images and coloring pages available there.  I have colored her with Copics, my preferred coloring medium.

Since I didn't have to add this beauty to any sort of card or other project, it allowed me absolute freedom to color her in any color palette I chose, which was such fun since I love to color!  The following Copic markers were used:

Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R21

Hair - E29, E18, E09, E08

Ribbon in hair and top of dress - G28, G17, G13, G03

Cape - BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV01

Ribbon on dress - RV66, V05, RV55

Dress from middle layer down -

BV29, BV25, BV23

BV08, BV04, BV02, BV01

BV08, BV17, BV13, BV11

Flowers in Hair and on Dress - V28, BV34, V25, V22 and Atyou Spica clear pen

Thanks so much for checking out my post and hope you will pay a visit to all the Coloring Team Gals!

Hello everyone, hope all is great.  I have 2 fun things to share with you today.

2. Today is also our One Day Fae of the Month giveaway and this month's image is a beauty!  Her name is Arielle Flora Fae and you can find out all the details on how to claim your free image at Faery Ink Facebook Group.

I colored this stunning image with Copics.   I chose some lighter reds and red/oranges in combination with yellow - combos that I don't usually use much - and I am really pleased how they turned out.

I chose another fun fold, when you open the card the sentiment is inside.  I will post the photo of the inside soon, I cannot find it on my computer.  I picked out some very old papers from my stash that I think showcase the image so well.  I added Petaloo flowers and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Sure hope you like my creation and hopefully it has given you some inspiration. Make sure that you visit the Faery Ink Shop to see all the wonderful images there, especially all this month's New Releases!! I loved Polkadoodles brand new Sticks & Bones Mammoth Dinosaur Download Bundle from the moment she saw and of course, had to buy the full download collection!!  For today's creation, I chose the images Just Sittin Here/Dinosaur and Sticks & Bones Dinosaur 5, the latter can also be found in black and white Sticks & Bones Dinosaur Image Bundle.  Of course both images can be found in Sticks & Bones Mammoth Dinosaur Download Bundle.  I combined the images, and the frame, from Sticks & Bones Mammoth Dinosaur Download Bundle, using Gimp then colored with Copics.  I chose my flowers from Sticks & Bones Mammoth Dinosaur Download Bundle, and they can also be found here Sticks & Bones Dinosaur Flower/Foliage Bundle.  I printed the flowers out on both regular white sparkle paper as well as acetate.  I outlined the flowers on the white paper using Copics and then cut all out with scissors before mounting using mainly 3D glue dots on the edges of the frame.  I layered the small red acetate flower over the white paper flower cut out in the upper right as well as the green flower are acetate.  I also used acetate flowers orange and blue on bottom left.   I chose papers from Sticks & Bones Textured Dinosaur Papers 5  as well as Sticks & Bones Textured Flower Papers 6, again, all papers can also be found in Sticks & Bones Mammoth Dinosaur Download Bundle.  Finally, I added a sentiment from Sticks & Bones Dinosaur Sentiments Bundle, which I put in a frame from Sticks & Bones Mammoth Dinosaur Download Bundle and layered using Word.  I cut out with scissors and added a button.  I sure hope you like it, I know you will love this new bundle!!

I decided to try a pocket letter this time around as I have seen them all over the place and think they look so cool!  I of course went with everything BLUE to fit our theme.  Image is Milking Time with Kitten and can also be found in Work and Play Volume 10 Download Full Collection.  I added 3 word art embellies which you can find in both Work and Play Volume 10 Download Full Collection and Work and Play 10 Embellies Digital Craft Download Bundle.  All the design papers used are from Winston Deluxe Full Collection.

Here is a closer view of my image and some of the decor surrounding it.  I colored the image with Copics and cut out with C.C. FAERY PRINCESS HEARTS FABLE - FAERY INK INSPIRATION

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!! Hope you are all having a great start to the year. I'm here to share some inspiration with you today using one of the newest releases from Faery Ink Shop.

My year started off great - spending New Year's in the Dominican Republic with 34 other family members - but it has taken an unfortunate turn as my stomach is completely messed up since our return on Saturday, and I haven't eaten for 2 days:(

Anyway, for my inspiration project this month, I chose to play with Faery Princess Hearts Fable which is available in the Faery Ink Shop. I chose this beauty because I absolutely love images with big mushrooms - I have no idea why, but I just love to color them! LOL

I colored Faery Princess Hearts Fable and added some surrounding scenery to the image with my Copics. I used the following color combos:

Hair: E47, E57, E35, E31

Face: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R21

Eyes: E57, E35

Greens (grass and wings): G28, YG17, YG13, YG03

Dress, stockings and bows: RV66, RV55, RV63, V05; BG07, BG57, BG53, BG01

Mushroom: RV99, R89, R39, R46

Hearts: RV99, R89, R46

Crown and wand: Y28, Y26, Y17, Y15

I also added some sparkle with Atyou Spica pens.

I chose a fun fold this time which I feel really showcases the image. I found the frog paper in a very old K and Co. paper stack and I thought it went perfectly with the image because it reminds me of the fairy tale about the princess and the frog. The sentiment is from a clear stamp and cut out with Tonic die. Image is also cut with Tonic die.  Additionally, I added ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some bling hearts and dots from Darice to round out the presentation of the card.

Sure hope you like my creation and hopefully it has given you some inspiration. Make sure that you visit the Faery Ink Shop to see all the wonderful images there, especially all this month's New Releases!! Also, remember to play in our monthly challenge - we are Adding Height for the month of January - you can check it out at Faery Ink Facebook Group.

Hugs:)

I used one of the newest images from DI’S DIGI STAMPS "Penny with Fox."  I adore this image, I have colored it with Copics, cut with Tonic die and daubed with Memento ink.  I chose Bo Bunny DP, snowflake embellies from my stash and also ribbon from my stash.  I used a clear stamp for the sentiment and cut out with Tonic dies.  This fold - box card fold is one I have wanted to try for a long time, but never had the courage to try until I made this one.  You can actually put things in the box - it is 2.75 inches all the way around.  I will add a link for the tutorial I used as soon as I can find it.  I sure hope you like it and will come play along!!  Hugs:)
